Club 56 Summer Discpleship Program
July 5th - August 9th, 2017
Club 56 - Summer of 2017! (5th and 6th Grade Summer Discipleship Program)
Time is here for the Summer Discipleship Program for 5th and 6th grade graduates! We meet once a week during the summer to learn how to; keep personal spiritual journals, learn scripture verses, learn how to pray more effectively and keep track of answered prayers, learn how to have a daily quiet time with God, and develop lasting friendships with the people in the class.
We will meet for an hour and fifteen minutes of study and discussion each week on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. Every other week that we meet, we will study for an hour and fifteen minutes then, go PLAY! What we do is up to the class. Last year we went swimming, bowling, played laser tag and had a movie night. The students pay for each event as it happens; some things cost nothing.
Students need to understand that there is a commitment involved and they will be held responsible for daily Bible reading, journaling, etc. There is a commitment for the parents as well in holding their child responsible for completing the required reading and activities. Parents have the God given role and ultimate responsibility for encouraging the spiritual growth of their children! Deuteronomy 6:4-7
Cost of the journal is $10.00. If interested in attending this awesome time to grow spiritually, sign up now. It is not too late! Enroll for classes now. Classes begin May 31st, Wednesday at 6:30 PM in Room D-3. We will not meet June 28th due to VBS or July 10th due to preteen camp. Call Sheila Wolfe at 972-292-1953 ext. 307 for more information. (Classes only meet during the summer.)
Women's Summer Bible Study
July 12th - August 2nd, 2017
Paul's letter to the Philippian church is something of a missionary thank you letter, but it is so much more than that. It is the sharing of Paul's secret life of Christian joy! 19 times in these 4 chapters, Paul mentions joy, rejoicing or gladness and we can't forget he was writing this from a Roman prison! We ask ourselves, how could he continue to have a joy that overflowed? As we study this amazing book, we will discover the secret is found in another word often repeated in Philippians and that is the word “mind”. The secret of Christian joy is found in the way the believer thinks. Philippians can be viewed as a Christian psychology book based solidly on biblical principles. It is a book that explains the mind the believer must have if she is going to experience Christian joy in a world filled with trouble.
During our time together we will explore the four chapters of Philippians where Paul describes four attitudes of the mind that will produce joy in spite of circumstances, people, and things and that we need not worry when times get tough.
- The single mind- Phil 1
- The Submissive Mind- Phil 2
- The Spiritual Mind- Phil 3
- The Secure Mind- Phil 4

We're heading back to Glorieta, New Mexico, and the SBTC's M3 Student camp this summer. Last year, we had a blast in the mountains hearing God's Word, worshipping, competing in the mud pit, hicking, and whole lot more. This year will be even better and we are looking forward to all God has in store for us. If you have any questions about camp please contact Simon Collard at email@example.com or at 972-292-1953.
